It is as easy as 1 – 2 – 3 to switch to your credit union!
Choose to have your checking account in an institution that is here just for you. Add to that a free debit card and low or no fees and you have an account that is just right!
Your Payroll Direct Deposit change form has all the information your payroll clerk needs to directly deposit your paycheck to your new SECU checking account. Just fill it out and give it to your payroll department.
Switch automatic withdrawals.
Use the Automatic Withdrawal change form to contact any organization you have authorized to make automatic withdrawals from your old checking account, and let them know you have switched to SECU.
Switch automatic charges billed to your old debit card.
If you make automatic monthly payments through your old debit card, contact those companies and tell them to use your new SECU Visa® debit card. They will just need your new card number and expiration date.
The final step is easy with the Letter of Account Closure. Just fill it out and give it to your old financial institution. They will close your account and write you a check for any remaining balance. Before closing your current account, double check that:
- All automatic withdrawals and deposits have been switched over to your new SECU account.
- All checks have cleared the existing account.
- All remaining checks, debit or ATM cards have been destroyed. SECU can assist you with this as a courtesy.
Use the following forms to make the easy switch to SECU today and start reaping the rewards of being a member/owner of your financial institution!
